Viva announced today its February 2026 preliminary traffic results. Viva’s passenger traffic increased 1.9% compared to February 2025, reaching 2.1 million passengers.
Total capacity in available seat miles (ASMs) decreased 2.8% compared to February 2025, reflecting a 1.3% reduction in domestic capacity and a 9.2% contraction in international capacity. Load factors increased by 1.6 percentage points standing at 84.6%, with a load factor of 85.9% and 78.7% in domestic and international, respectively.
“Passenger traffic rose 1.9% in February supported by a 3.1% increase in the domestic market. Despite typical first quarter seasonality and late month operational disruptions, our load factor reached 84.6%, reflecting effective capacity allocation efforts. We maintain a flexible operational stance, proactively managing capacity to adjust to market conditions while ensuring reliability amid the ongoing Pratt & Whitney engine groundings”, said Juan Carlos Zuazua, CEO of Viva.
